[Video] New Magazine View in EspressoReader: Your Google Reader feeds never looked so pretty

I am pretty proud of the new version of EspressoReader that was released yesterday. While the build included numerous bugfixes, the biggest change in the app is a much improved Magazine View that is centered around the images in a feed. Here is a screenshot +video of the new view:

The view is fully navigable via the keyboard via the directional keys which makes going through a bunch of feed items really easy.  By the way, I will be releasing the core library that does the image fetching under an Open Source license in my next post so stay tuned for that. In the meanwhile, if you are a Google Reader user, go download EspressoReader from the AIR marketplace and give it a shot.

    ¿You know what I would like? To be able to sort my feeds acording to how many people liked it or shared it.
    That’s what feedly does for me and that’s why I like it.

    Thanks for the feedback, I am looking into some kind of popularity index on feeds, will look at what Feedly is doing.

    I been trying to rate you in adobe marketplace, but they make it hard :(

    Thanks :) . Yeah I am pretty disappointed with the Adobe AIR Marketplace. The site is pretty slow in general and not very engaging. I think I’ll have to move the installer to my own site soon.

    I love this App. The only problem i have: at work i’m behind a proxy and cant define it anywhere. So all it say’s that it is offline. Could you maybe fix that?

    Martin, thanks for the feedback. I thought Adobe AIR uses the system proxy. Can you log in to Google Reader on the browser?
